Endometriosis and vaginal bacterial infection

I was diagnosed four years ago with endometriosis and had surgery to remove an ovary and tube due to severe damage. The past 6 months i have been getting constant cramping in my pelcic area as well as pain in my lower back and constant vaginal bacterial infections which only clear up for about a week after taking medication either orally or vaginally.Could the endometriosis be back and could that be causing my vaginal bacterial infections .I also have started spotting between periods which I have never done before. My doctor just tells me that i am prone to bacterial infections and that there is nothing i can really do for them.I am 40 years old.
